Lynn Carey Saylor first garnered a world-wide fan base following the release in 2002 of a limited edition charity single of her self-penned "IF WE BELIEVE", featuring superstar guitarist Brian May of QUEEN. A portion of the proceeds from the single were donated to the Mercury Phoenix Trust, an AIDS charity founded by the surviving members of Queen and their manager following the death of Queen frontman Freddie Mercury. In 2007, Lynn released a full length CD entitled "You Like It Clean", which featured a reworked version of "If We Believe" and another song that Brian May appears on, a rocked up cover of the Pat Benatar hit "We Belong". Lynn is the sole songwriter of 10 of the CD's 11 songs and has garnered many accolades as a songwriter, most notably as the writer of a finalist song (one of 14 in its category) of 2008's International Songwriting Competition in which over 15,500 total songs were entered.
Lynn is also known as the founder of the popular site, GuitarGirls.com, which she founded in the Spring of 2000 in an effort to connect with and help promote up and coming female singer/songwriter/guitarists. Lynn has recently re-branded her GuitarGirls site as an independent record label and in June 2010 released her first CD on the newly christened Guitar Girls Records, an EP for 14-year-old Country/Pop artist Charissa Mrowka. Lynn is the songwriter of all songs on the EP, as well as co-producer (with her husband Skip Saylor). The next release on her Guitar Girls Records label will be a song she wrote for a singer who appeared on the most recent season of American Idol.
Academically, Lynn holds a Bachelor's degree with honors in Communications (Radio, Television and Film track) and a Music Minor from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and is involved in another area of performing arts as an active member of the Screen Actors Guild with small parts in films and television to her credit.
